Salesforce Commerce Cloud is seeking a Manager to lead the Delivery Operations team - representing Engineering Services in Hyderabad.

Working closely with other teams within Engineering Services, the Delivery Operations’ main mission is to ensure that the global ECOM release deployments (60+ events a year) are performed as scheduled and with little to no disruption to our customers. As a manager of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the success of these deployments, along with the development and support of the team’s release tooling and services. Throughout, attention is to be placed on helping drive visibility and availability initiatives, such as: safe change compliance, proactive monitoring/alerting, self-healing and resiliency.

Responsibilities

Support Release Management to ensure all ECOM releases are delivered to our first party and public cloud environments, as communicated to our customers

Work closely with members of Engineering Services across the globe, to ensure the toolsets and deployment workflows are secure, safe, and reliable

Engage SRE and various Engineering teams when deployment issues arise, to resolve technical issues in a timely fashion

Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers

Be a multiplier and have a passion for the team and each team members’ success. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members, including senior engineers

Ensure that the work the team is responsible for is carried out and executed in such a way as to comply with the company’s internal compliance policies and directives

Help plan and execute via agile release cycles, driving excellence across the full software development lifecycle

Incident management - Act in key support roles during major incidents e.g. Sev0, Sev1

Problem Management - populate and participate in RCAs and technical reviews

Deliver on full life cycle software components for our mission critical deployment tools

Support our commitment to continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation

Provide attention to detail and a commitment to the delivery of high-quality, stable deliverables

Work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multi-cultural development and testing team

Required Skills:

Experience managing a team responsible for developing and supporting enterprise-scale solutions

Experience with Scrum in an Agile Development environment

Strong communication skills (Written and Oral)

Ability to share and collaborate with other leaders via presentations and written technical documentation

Strong understanding of the SDLC and familiarity with Release, Change and Incident Management

Proven record driving software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, continuous integration, build processes, testing, and operations

Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment and guide a team through troubleshooting complex issues quickly

Working knowledge of application development using Java, Python, and/or Golang

Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Linux/UNIX knowledge with exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Expertise in TCP/IP-related technologies (networking protocols, network programming, etc.)

Education & Experience

BS or higher degree in Computer science or equivalent
